| And how do I contact ecommerce to protect my ebook the way I want it? I gather then, each site on which it is published requires me to state the protection I want on the book, unless it's only on my site, which would be protected by ecommerce if I elected them to manage the shopping carts. If I used .exe, then I could protect it myself. |

be aware of that the autorun feature has been turned off in Windows 7 for USB flash drives. It will only work in Windows Vista or earlier. For the rest I'm using www.cdfrontend.com to create the autorun, you can show either a presentation (big or small) or a menu (to run files or powerpoint or PDF etc etc, and also place link to web sites |

it may be a error in the work file. If persists the only solution may be to use a old backup (maybe the automatic backup is sufficient, you can open it with File Open then within the pull down menu on the bottom of the dialog select Backup BAK as format) instead of the current file. I don't understand the part about the script. If you added scripts or html at the head (Insert >HTML >At page start (Head) ) maybe you should verify that they are correct on all pages you inserted them... |

You forgot to add that CDFrontEnd can run files / applications at startup (simultaneusly to CDFrontEnd, it shows the first/cover page while it runs these applications) To do this, you must create a CD in the temporary folder the standard way (see PDF manual, or tutorials as above). Then within the temporary folder (before you burn the CD) open the file autorun.inf (if you double click it in the MS Windows File Explorer, it should open in the MS Windows Notepad, or right click it and open with Notepad), and under the section [autorun], add lines like this [autorun] ... ...there are already some things here... ...do not touch... ...simply add what follows... cdferun1=mickey.exe cdferunmode1=NORMAL cdferun2=nicefolder\goofy.exe cdferunmode2=MAXIMIZED cdferun3=wedding.pdf cdferunmode3=NORMAL cdferun4= the run mode can be NORMAL MAXIMIZED or MINIMIZED. Obviously you should not add too much things. |

the EWP file contains the password associated to the ebook, if any. e.g. mickey.ewp contains the passwords for mickey.aeh The .ewp file is stored within the same folder of your work file. If you delete the ewp file, you lose access to your own hypertext. However it is a text file, so if you remember your passwords you can re-create it. the ERP file stores the passwords typed by the end user, when the ebook is opened on a non-read-only medium. Otherwise the passwords are stored in the registry. If the "don't store passwords" is checked, pass are not stored. if you put the erp / ewp file on the CD, it is like to purchase a $100 million vault, then to close it and left it with the keys inserted... |
