I have two links that refuse to remain underlined on my cover page. One is a link to the 2nd page, the other to an email address. Both are in different cells of a table. I have used the Link Style I created, and also formatted separately. Both format screens show Underline checked. Yet I have a 3rd link on the same page (and in the same cell as one of the problem links) that remains underlined! Once I was able to type the phrase underlined properly, but when I created the link, the underline disappeared again, even though the format menu and Link Style menus continued to show Underline as checked. What the heck? Any suggestions will be most appreciated.

this is because you applied the underline before (or after) applying the link.
When you apply a link to a normal word (or a text block), if the link style is "underline", the word becomes automatically underlined. If you also apply the underline to the word, the underline disappears (because the underline button works in negative on the stuff that are already underlined by links).
You may use CTRL + F6 to remove formats from the current paragraph and this will hopefully fix.

- use CTRL+F6 to remove added formats - verify the style that is applied to the paragraph where the incident happens (go in to the paragraph and take a look at the styles toolbar; change the style in the toolbar, if needed) - if no luck, send the file (or a link to the file on a website) to the support staff, it is difficult to understand what you are doing; but it is a simple human error, it can be fixed
by the way, the style settings in the link works as add/remove (not just add) - as in the preview offered when you create the Style.
