I did. from the file menu, choose Save mobi epub ebook then there is a window with several options. click the Mobi tab check the box "create mobi" (it will download some files) click the Path tab and choose the destination folder for the mobi file click the Pages To Export tab (then select all) click the Export button then it will generate both the OPF file set (a lot of scattered files) and one .mobi file - this is the only one that is needed (the other files are useful if you have a OPF-compliant ebook reader)

I did with the lite (just a test) then I bought the PRO, but the first test was with the LITE. send the file to the support email they have been helpful with me... maybe within your file there is something that can not be saved in the mobi format, so the mobi creation fails, I dunno....

Ok wipe out me whole book and made a test. th etest actually makes a .mobi. Now a new problem. I have 5 pages only. Index What is your name? My name is Michelle. How old are you? None of your business. This is what is written on each 5 pages. I cannot name the pages. So when it builds the .mobi it randomly places the 5 pages. How do I get it to put them in order. EDIT If I put Page 1, Page 2 and so forth at the top of each page it keeps them in order. lots of extra work. Seems awful dumb to me

The page order is editable. You can define chapters and move pages. The menu is Hypertext Predefined page order - TOC By the way the page number in EbooksWriter (the one shown in the bottom center box) is for internal reference only and it is never shown to the end user - this is also because you can create hypertext and define several paths.

.mobi is a format that is good for Kindle, while EPUB is good also for Kobo and a lot of more readers
