I have my own previous and continue buttons on my pages.. When I try to use then all I get is a blank page.. I am using the light version. I also have a chapter page that has all the links to my other pages and when I click on a link I get a blank page.. When I complied a book these things don't work.. Your buttons seem to work fine.. How can I solve this problem..

I'm not sure about what you are using as "buttons".
If you are using images linked to the previous and/or next page, you must define a link for the image. Just select the image, then, with the right mouse button, choose "Define link" or "Define special link" and tell to the program the destination page.
There's no predefined page order in an EBooksWriter file: please notice that the page number at the bottom of the edit dialog is not shown to the end user and it is just an internal facility for authors. The users just see the links you define. If you define bad links or links to blank pages, they will see blank pages.

If you purchased 3D buttons, close EBooksWriter, then just install it.

Then open EBooksWriter.
Write some text, then select a text block (example "Click here" ), then click on the "Magic" button that will show on the toolbar.

The 3D buttons edit dialog will show, and the text will be transformed into a button (with the text "click here" over it), edit it, then ok.

Now the text has been transformed to a button. You will notice there's a fast shortcut in order to transform another text into a button of the same kind........

For more info, please see the 3D Buttons user's manual

So far I personnaly have not been able to get the "effect of pushing a button" to work.  I sent an E-Mail to 3D and I recieved the following E-Mail back.  With what they have to say is very disappointing considering I just spent $230.00 for EBooksWriter/3D Button bundle so I wouldn't have this kind of a problem.  Thinking everything would be compatiable, which seems not to be the case.  If thier is a fix for this on the way or a better work around for this problem I hope someone would mind telling me.

Thanks for your message.

We must inform you that Visual Vision products (we are different companies) like Ebookswriter cannot actually use all of the available functionalities that our editor offers when used stand-alone or when used as an add-in for
some other programs. The kind of rollover you need deals with the use of JavaScript which is not supported by Ebookswriter

To be precise, 3D buttons can create a sort of Javascript (= programming stuff) that is needed by some other program not as intelligent and as visual as EBooksWriter (3D Buttons can work as plugin also with other software).

EBooksWriter does not need the Javascript, as you can create a rollover effect visually:

1) create the normal button (i.e. select a text, then use the magic button)

2) create the "rollovered" button as normal button, i.e. another button similar to the previous one that you want to be shown in place of the other one when the mouse is over. Example, select a text, use the magic button

3) now you have 2 buttons on the page. Delete the second one (the "rollovered"), yes, you can delete it as it is stored/memorized in the internal "album"

4) right click the image of the first button, "Image Properties", then you click the tab "Low res, mouse rollover", you click on the right side, then you choose the "rollovered" button from the album.

That's all.
If you have say 5 buttons the fast thing is to create the first 5 "normal state" then the 5 "rollover state" (this will permit you to use the magic button and the "Repeat last effect").
