[b][/b]  I am a total newbie but have the ebookswriter pro edition can you please tell me what in the thingyens " creating Chapters" would be under in the PDF help file ? I really am dissapointed in the way the help system is setup. Perhaps its just because I dont know where to find it but it would be great if I could. thanks all Bryan

The menu item was
Hypertext > Predefined page order - TOC
THis dialog has a button for adding chapters. You can as well drag and drop the items..
The internal help is available with the F1 key.
There is also the PDF manual...

Thanks for the info but it is more a matter of what to look for as when i did a search for chapters It didnt find anything for me. also I am getting an access violation after i add chapters and then try to go to that chapter any ideas ?

Hum... no. If this persists, maybe you should clear all the TOC with the refresh button, then try redoing the chapters list.
Usually the better thing is to finish the work, then when everything is ok to create the chapters (so you avoid problems in case you delete / move pages)
