Hy I just bought a student package sofftware (EasyWebeditor- Standard) a few days ago..... I have a few questions.... 1- How do I delete my pictures from my internal photo album? I want to add some mroe picture in my site that I'M building right now.... Does it have a limit? 2- Does it have an"Do not Copy" option to safeguard my pictures and articles so people will nor use without permission and place it on their site? If yes, Where do I go from here? 3- Can I built a drop menu with a standard student sofware? Thank you so much in advance... So far I really enjoy using this website editor.....

1- How do I delete my pictures from my internal photo album? I want to add some mroe picture in my site that I'M building right now.... Does it have a limit? **R: just use "Hypertext >Images, files, link archive and erase", and click the "Image" tab. You can select an image then press the DEL key to delete it (or the Trash icon). There is also an icon to automatically delete all unused images. There is a limit of 200 images per file. You can use infinite files. 2- Does it have an"Do not Copy" option to safeguard my pictures and articles so people will nor use without permission and place it on their site? If yes, Where do I go from here? **R: all what is on the Web is public. For the legal side, just put a copyright notice on the bottom of each page (i.e. simply write "(C)2003 Your Name - All rights reserved") this say that the legal right of your pages are yours. It costs nothing as the copyright is a natural human right (for the civilized countries that subscribed the Berna act). To give out protected stuff please see our product EBooksWriter, http://www.ebookswriter.com Of course you might want to add a Javascript that does disable the right mouse button menu and "Save as..." for images, but if the user does disable Javascript, the protection is gone...... 3- Can I built a drop menu with a standard student sofware? **R: if you mean a drop down menu within a form, yes, visually, with Insert >Form element. If you want to create a drop down menu that will jump on some pages, or will do some other action, you can do it but you need to learn (or copy) a bit of Javascript. There are a lot of useful Javascript collections sites on the net... just do a search with Google...... To insert HTML code within EWE just use "Insert >HTML >Within text" 4- How can you delete a page? **R: Within the same dialog as for the images, choose the "pages" tab. Then select a page and hit the DEL key (or use the Trash button)

Thank you so much..... I'm really having fun learning this software.... I have another question again.. I'm sorry.. It probably will look stupide.. And I'm also learning English and the computer language...... Hope it make sens to you.... About the picture.... your quote:There is a limit of 200 images per file. You can use infinite files. Is " a File" is considered to be a one web page? or a file is considered to be " as a whole website"? I have deleted all the unused picture, which I have space right now to add some... But I'm affraid when I will have to update the site and not be able to know "How" and keeping all the original picture....

(I'm using Geocities, if that can give you an idea) So since I changeg my server setting, the main page on the publish tab is not correct (Lower right in blue)... How can I change the www. on the publish tab ? It still say to save it locally first.... and error #500 I' m sure that it is easy..... But now.. I can not figure anything out...... Anyone ??

Ok, I try to start from the beginning. With EasyWebEditor you can have a whole Website saved into a local file, called AEH file. "Local" means on your PC, on your Hard Disk. To have one file is an option, not a must. However it is handy doing this. Each EasyWebEditor's AEH file can store up to 200 images. 1SITE can store up to 5000 images. When the program says "You should save locally first" it just remembers you to save this local file. Always answer "Yes" and you are OK. As for the error #500, this means "wrong ftp server name", maybe you did a little mistake by typing the FTP server name... This error is mentioned in the FTP publishing tutorial (hit F1, then tutorials, or it is also online, http://www.easywebeditor.com/create_a_web_page/web_site_editor_000009.ht m ). This is a Frequently Asked Question too, see also http://www.easywebeditor.com/faq/

Thank you for your patience... OK. I have corrected my paremeter.... but from your Frequent quesiton, it said... Please note that some "free" servers (geocities, freeservers) have recently disabled the FTP access, and you'll receive error #530. that is wait I was thinking to use.... I was trying to upload with a free acount in geocities...... If I buy a domain with geocitie, can I still uploade this site? Or I should change my host services?

I think you should ask to Geocities. Ask them "should I buy hosting with you, does you support the normal FTP?". Usually any paid host do support FTP. If you are a client (this is not valid for trial edition) we have a discount with DewaHost that have a very reliable service. Of course, you are free to choose any host you want.
