Hi, I have installed a countdown timer onto my homepage. I got the timer from here: http://bushclock.lose.com/applet.shtml However, if you check out my page: 'removed' It has placed the timer on their nicely, but for some reason it has put the name of the applet file (IclTimer.class) above it! I can't figure out why and it is a bit of a pain. If anyone has any suggestions I would be really appreciative. All the best, Mark.

...please check your page. From the code, it appears YOU wrote that text within the page.

Hmmm....interesting. Well, I certainly have not written it in. When I open EWE it just shows the applet square on the page. EWE is doing something strange. I wrote the sentence above it, but not the filename immediately above the counter. What is going on? Mark.

...I guess you wrote this sentence within the applet square (before the applet code; or you placed a icon/reference to the applet that is -correctly- replaced with the text). Right click the square to edit the text / properties....

The problem has been fixed, but not sure why! I followed the instructions in the manual and I had not written the filename anywhere at any stage. So, I deleted the applet from the EWE page i.e. the square thing, but left the HTML code in place. I saved and then uploaded to the server so that the applet was completely cleared. However, when I went to check it was removed it still showed on the live website, but without the filename printed above it. I have noticed that the file is still showing in the right hand column of the publishing window within EWE. So I'm not sure if the file is on the server, without a direct reference on the web page, hence the filename now not showing. Anyway, it seems to be working so fingers crossed. Cheers, Mark.

Hum.... I think you misunderstood the functioning of the EWE applet stuff. You need to use either 1) a html code with reference to the applet (Insert >HTML); shown with a little icon OR 2) a applet box (Insert >Applet) with reference to the applet I guess in the past you used both, so the malfunctioning. But well, if now it is working my suggestion is, "don't touch!" )

I have the same problem, but it's on my hard drive. It displayed in a 2 inch square window on the desktop. When I fisrt installed it, all was well. But then it displayed a "page cannot be found" message. When I went to uninstall it, I found that it wasn't there. It didn't exist in the uninstall control panel and no matter what I change the desktop background to, the window stays. Any ideas?
