Day/time Counter

I am looking for a way to put a realtime counter my 1site page.  I am trying to find a counter that can show the number of days since xx date.  If it can show a realtime clock (counting up) that would be a bonus.

What I'm trying to do is show how many days (hours, minutes, seconds?) since something has happened.  That something is a date/time  that I can plug into code to begin counting from

Does anyone know where I can find a script to do this?

Any help would be appreciated

Check your host's Control Panel.
Sometimes there are free counters that you can use. Usually there is a button to "install" or activate the counter, then they provide some "code" to be copied then pasted with "Insert >HTML >Within the text".

Or you may search with a search engine....

I've looked everywhere with no luck

I can find all kinds of counters, but not what I am trying to do.  I can't believe that I am the first to want this...I'll just keep looking

I am on the track with something in the PHP realm of functions.  But this is all foreign to me, and I can't get it to work internally yet.

Anyone else have ideas, feel free to chime in

Thanks
