homepage templates

I was looking at sites created with EWE and 1st Site, wondering how do you get those really nice templates, or how do you create them. All I do is load a frame set thru 1st site, but from there I am lost when it comes to dressing it up with a template with menu bars and etc..any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

basically you use a simple graphic program (such as Paint Shop PRO or Corel or PhotoShop) + your creativity + some tricks with transparent tables + some attempts
for menus / buttons / bars use the search feature of the forum (on the top, e.g. enter menu, button, bar), you find a lot of useful things. You may also get 3D buttons, www.easywebeditor.com/3dbutton/
