HI I have inserted a video file thru: insert/animation and sound.. it is a file sent to me in quicktime format, anyhow, it plays and works great with my site as the enter here page, what i wonder is do users accessing my homepage need to have quicktime installed in order to view this. when I view it on the internet a pop up window comes up, to allow ActiveX Controls, I click yes, and away we go.it plays automatically one time, like I wanted. but can everyone view this. regardless of the original file format. if you like you can view the site: www.stoneworld.ca to see what I mean exactly, in anycase any experience you may have on this topic, is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

You are welcome to post One time the same question. I have deleted your duplicate post. Generally most people prefers to use WMV or AVI as video format, as Quicktime requires Quicktime installed on the PC (by the way usually the browser is able to prompt you to install). Also users with a slow connection won't appreciate videos at all but probably you already know..... no, I see you don't know, as you placed the video on the home page. DOn't do this!! It is better to place the video within another page and expressly warn the user that he is to enter a page that contains video and so he/she need a broadband Internet connection. Also, videos do waste a lot of band: you may superate the allowed band limit should you have a lots of visits. Of course your website is yours! Just suggestions.
