500 host not found

Hi, this morning I went to the site to add some changes, when I went to publish it would not, saying connection impossible, and 500 host not found. ?? I am stunned. What should I do ?
all the settings to publish are correct as they have always been, nothing has changed, but it wont publish. also now I type my site address in the explorer address bar, and it wont show. it just says page cannot be displayed. Everything was fine yesterday, any suggestions??

3 possible things:
1) your server is down (or its FTP part), write to your host
2) there is a mistake within your ftp server name (within the FTP configuration tab)
3) your antivirus, firewall, router firewall, antispyware, anti......?, does block the software - please better configure it

4) you forgot to renew your domain name (=pay the annual quote) or your hosting contract

Yes it was registration renewal. however all that information is totally wrong when you look it up in tucows.com website. as well the email that this renewal was sent to was also wrong from the year 2002. so I have been telephone chasing all morning.! anyhow, found the right info. so the site should be up and running again soon I hope. Thanks for your replies.
