See topic at

go to the section that starts with...
>>>
First of all, ask to your Web host for a "formmail.cgi".
...
>>>

What shown there works with the more common form mail used (Matt Wright's one).
Your host must provide at least the script web path, and at least an HTML skeleton of a form page: if they provide HTML, something like

<input name="recipient" value="youremail@abc.com">

means in EWE/1Site: insert a Form element with identifier "recipient" and value "youremail@abc.com"

In case your host is unable to provide info about their scripts, then change host. It is like an electrician that doesn't know how to mount a lamp.

Oh and I never rec/vd the post of the formmail I tested from my website.  once I press submitt it takes me to the address formmail, with a thank you and confirmation of what was filled out on the form, but you/.ve left the website. so when you do close that thank you confirmation all windows are closed. Okay, thanks.bye.

Never received -> check with your host that the receiver email address is correctly set

Thank you page -> this is correct.

Some form-mail are more sophisticated, and they permit you to specify what page to show when the form is submitted.

These form-mails, instead of showing "thank you, this is what you submitted...." do show a web page that you specify.

Please see
http://www.easywebeditor.com/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?board=EWw;action=disp lay;num=1042080551

for more info about a typical form-mail setting (search "thank you" within that page). This is the post we already mentioned.
