Problem sving hypertext

I have used EWE v. 3.14.148.258 for quite a few years now and have been very pleased with it. The site that I have produced is at www.sproxton.org.uk and I have had it uploaded now for quite a few years without problems. I now find that I cannot save amendments to the site. When I click on save the computer hangs and when I try to close EWE I get the "program not responding" dialogue. Can you help?

I have just tried it on one of my other sites and find that it works OK. Nick

further investigation reveals that the hypertext will save but it takes more than 5 minutes before the HD stops flogging and the EWE widow renders again. Nick

Hi! Either the file is damaged (in this case you may use a backup), or maybe the file contains some unused large objects (so it is ultralarge and takes too much to save): check "Hypertext >Image files link archive and erase" and check the various tabs... Another option is a failure of certain sectors of your hard disk (in this case a File >Save as... of the file, with another file name, would take less time)
