Title: Questions before buying
Post by Patsy on Jun 12th, 2003, 5:32pm
Am looking to create a product catalog (400 items) and have a few questions.  Am looking between you and FlipAlbum.  Can you attach a "buy me" button (your shopping cart) to each item on a page (I plan to have 6 items per page).  Am assuming your shopping cart is an information collector keeping up with each item ordered.  What is the end result of the shopping cart -- does it automatically dial up and send email?  I imagine it has a print option for printing the order to mail or fax.

Also, we are looking for a product that will autorun but not install on the customer's computer.

Do you have templates (or has any of your customers made templates to sell) for specialty catalogs (Baby First Year, Holiday, Celebrations etc.)

Do you have a screen print online of how the CD looks onscreen?  Is there anyone on this forum that has produced Catalog CD's that I could touch base with?

Thanks,

Patsy

This is the user's forum, so if you have info requests like this, or support requests please email mailto:cdfrontend@visualvision.com

We rarely monitor this forum.

As per your questions:

1) yes the Cart works like you guessed

2) the user presses a button that can send the content by email / CGI or another button that can print / fax. If the automatic dial is active on the computer, it will also automatic dial. Email relays on Internet settings, Fax relays on your fax program settings (usually the fax is configured just like a printer).

3) the product does autorun and DOES NOT install any software on the user's PC (next time, please read at least the homepage!!!!!!!! :) )

4) some basic templates are supplied. The program is very fast so it's very quick to create something new.

5) other users: I hope somebody will reply!!! Unfortunately I see some users are lazy... ;)
For example we know we sold a copy to USAF, Penthagon, Washington, but they don't want to post the produced content... :)
