Title: Problems I have found Post by michellembrodeur on Jan 23rd, 2011, 8:34am 1): When using "Save As" and changing the name of the ebook. it does not change the name to the new name when saving all the files. 2): The ebook when making a .mobi, not tested on anything else. It will rename some files EX: Page 42 becomes Pa ge 42 3): it random places the page not in the order I made them. 4): it deleted lines (blank lines) in my text files EX: Page 001 What is your name? becomes Page 001 What is your name? Why does it do that. so what is the solution. I use the page number on the bottom of the screen to make a new page, there all in order but now when testing or making the .mobi so what is the solution. |

Title: Re: Problems I have found Post by Support Staff on Jan 23rd, 2011, 9:40am 1) the save as saves the WHOLE ebook as a single AEH file. It does not wipe out the mobi or opf file sets 2) the page title for each page is editable. Use Format >Page properties (the box in the top left) |

Title: Re: Problems I have found Post by jdally on Mar 18th, 2012, 2:17pm I am a new user and learning this software. As I load a document using RTF files from Word. I seem to generate a lot of empty pages. How can I delete them. I try to insert material on an empty page but the program places this material at the end of the document that I am generating. Thanks, Jim Dally :'( :'( |

Title: Re: how to delete pages, order pages Post by pages management on Mar 18th, 2012, 2:33pm Hi! To define the page order for the final ebook you must use: Hypertext Predefined page order - TOC this is used for EPUB and MOBI (and OPF) For the Exe format, you should just place links (see Chapter 1 of the PDF manual) (the page numbers are ignored, they are to be used only for reference for you the author) To delete pages Hypertext Images - files link archive and erase then select the "Pages" tab, then you may select any page and delete it (trash button) or preview it. Interesting thing: when you are using frames, each frame is a page (if you delete a page that is used within one or more framesets, it will be then re-created) How to delete pages and how to move or reorganize pages is explained in the manual and in the FAQ www.ebookswriter.com/faq/ probably this is the reason there was not an answer. The program seems a bit chaotic to manage, but after some time you realize there is a reason for each feature (for how). |
