When I try to do some of the operations an error box pops up with the following message:
"There is no disk in the drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1"
What is causing the error.
I am using Windows 2000 with plenty of HDD space and RAM.

This error happens for some CD drivers in 2000 and XP. It is due to MSWindows.
We're trying to get a work around.

Good News !  I was having the same problem. Now there is a fix available on the Visual Vision website. It works  :D
