Post by jguas on Jan 18th, 2003, 5:25pm
Hi  people:

I've downloaded some HTML free templates and I want to import one of those to my new desing but the action <File-Import page> do nothing.

I've selected format HTML but it donīt work. I saw the template using word and netscape composer and it seems so simple, burt EasyWebeditor canīt capture it.
Any sugestions ?

Regards, Jorge

This function is now disabled in EasyWebEditor.
You can copy & paste text or images (separately) from the browser window, through the clipboard, however.

The function is available in 1SITE, www.1site.info.

Generally, EasyWebEditor is very simple to use but has a poor import capability for existing sites.

There is a reason for this: EasyWebEditor (and 1SITE) sites are perfectly compatible with NS4 and IE5; unfortunately FrontPage or Macromedia sites usually are not, so an automatized import-and-conversion-to-compatible is pretty impossible.

A manual import takes more time but the professional result pays for it.

PS: of course you can import EWE pages with "Edit >Paste page from..." :)
