My webhost has a password system to enter a membership area of my website, but I’m not sure how to integrate or link it with EWE.  Can you tell me how?

*** Usually you can password protect a folder.
Just publish into that folder what do you want to protect.
For placing link to that section you can use "Insert >Link", 3rd tab, Add+, then type the URL of the protected area, such as:
http://www.yoursite.com/mickeymemberarea/
If that folder is protected on the server, when the user will click the link, a password/username will be automatically asked.
This is a thing completely separated from the editor, as the password protection is a server-side function.
