Title: Re: how to link a word to a word Post by Support Staff on Sep 2nd, 2009, 6:01am Hi! You do not link a word to another word. You link a word to: 1) another page 2) maybe another point within the same page (this is called Anchor) 3) several other options........ The option 2) is in my opinion the more similar to your question. You can do 1) with Insert >Link (you may create the destination page as a new page within the same dialog) You can do 2) with two steps: first, you place the cursor to the destination point (the place where to jump when the link is clicked) use Insert >Anchor to insert the Anchor and define the link destination point (that will be shown in editor mode as a small anchor) then you go to the place you want to link, you highlight the text or the word that will be transformed into a link, and you use Insert >Special links - then you select the first tab To better learn, you can see the online manual. You find the tutorial on how to create and link pages (mainly option 1) at: http://www.catalog-software.net/catalog_builder_software/product_catalog_software_0000ff.htm You find the "special links" examples (this covers 2 and 3) at: http://www.catalog-software.net/catalog_builder_software/speciallinkshp_index.htm We strongly suggest you to download and print the PDF manual that explains the most important things sequentially with examples: http://get-software.info/download/hpman_hr.zip Any other questions you can reply here.... |
