Title: So new and need help! Post by Emcee on Sep 28th, 2007, 12:06pm I am using your trial software to see if it will help me create a Users Manual for a new software our company uses. I have a copy your PDF users manual but still have LOTS of questions. (I am not familiar with HTML and such, not "techy" at all). Is there a more detailed manual out there somewhere that can help me or do i need to just post each time I need more help. I've tried searching online in the "help" for the topics, but they are not as detailed as I'd like. Thanks. Melissa |

Title: Re: So new and need help! Post by Support Staff on Sep 28th, 2007, 12:41pm You can always ask support by email, also. In case you post a topic, please search if there is a similar topic before, and possibly add your question there, rather than opening a new topic. If your question is really new, then open a new topic but give it a meaningful title ("help" is not a meaningful title; a good title is your question resumed in a few words) As for what I read: - You need the source of that pdf document or you should copy and paste the text (the program does not read pdf directly) - You never see any "HTML" so you can forget about this word; you can output to HTML(= obtain HTML files) with the automatic menu File >Export (you obtain a bunch of nice HTML files and other files - you can safely ignore how the program creates them) |

Title: Re: So new and need help! Post by Emcee on Sep 28th, 2007, 1:27pm Thank you for the advice on posting. Other than email support and the PDF users guide that i printed out (70 pages), is there a more detailed guide for Paper Killer? thanks. |

Post by Support Staff on Sep 28th, 2007, 1:37pm there is also the online manual at www.paperkiller.com/create_a_manual_software/ and the faq at www.paperkiller.com/faq/ (you can search them with the search feature of the browser). You find some interesting examples of layout at: www.visualvision.com/download/example_ryan.zip www.visualvision.com/download/example_cdfe_site.zip |

Title: Re: So new and need help! Post by stutyr on May 27th, 2008, 6:36pm One of my websites had all the lines underscored when published. I went back and removed all underscores from the source, but the underscores are still on the web. I also looked at the source HTML to see if I could find a the special character for underscoring, but there was none. Any idea what else I can try? Thanks. |

Title: Re: So new and need help! Post by Support Staff on May 28th, 2008, 5:44am to add a new topic, click on "Our Products", then select the product you own (EasyWebEditor??), then click on "Start new topic, Ask a question" that's near the top right. It is MANDATORY to do a search before adding new topics: in your case you should search at least the word "u nderline" and/or "everything u nderlined"... as for your problem [... reply deleted as I have seen you posted in a more pertinent topic...] |
