loosing pictures and styles?

Hi everybody , One question please, with EWE, is there any limit for the size of the hipertext file? I am having some troubles lastly. Loosing pictures and backgrounds, part of tables changing style unexpectedly , and so... It could be that my hipertext is too big now. I used to split it in 2 different files but it was a bit complicated. My hipert. file is 6.10MB, and has a big images folder. The unwanted changes appear when I save the file, normally overwritting the previous one. This is the site, if having a look at it helps: www.spookycopters.com

yes, but the program should warn you about the limit, if you are over it. When the program tells you it can't add more pic, if you still continue to add, then it replaces old pictures with the ones you add. To increase the number of pictures for file you should move to 1site. www.visualvision.com/checklist Email support for the discount price (include your old order number or full name and postal address)

Thanks a lot for the super-quick reply! Yes, I have had this warning before, but sorted it out by reducing the number and size of images. Now I have cleaned again the images folder (called "imag" in my case) both in the hypertext properties menu and via FTP in my server. My images folder in server was 6.09 MB and had 115 files inside before cleaning. The background and images lost were not substituted by another image... they were still there, but not previewable or visible. With the styles, I created a new style and named it "century link yellow", then wrote a text in a table, and after several days, without changing anything at the styles menu, part of the text in the table changed to another colour. This text formed part of a menu on the side of page, so I corrected it back in ever page by copying/pasting. I had used frames before for the menus, but stopped with frames as some browsers couldn“t see the site properly. I will continue working, saving security copies from time to time, and see if I get more "ghosts"

Hi! The program does not care of what is in the server, or about what is on your PC folders. The limit is in the internal "album", "Hypertext >Image files link archive and erase". As for the style, never heard about this. When you define a style it must not "move" and has no reasons for. Do you have the latest version?

Thanks, yes, I use the "album", "Hypertext >Image files link archive and erase" to clean the files I don“t use any longer, also the pages and links. My version of EWE is 2005.20.195.262 Is there any way of updating the version? Apart from this problems, I find EWE a very useful tool for my webpage work. It is easy to build professional-looking webpages for somebody like me with very limited computer skills...

Hi! Email support and ask for a upgrade price from EWE to 1site, it will be cheap and you will have 1site last edition. 1site is very similar to EWE and the internal album has more room for things. We can not calculate your update/upgrade price without checking your personal data so it's not a subject for the forum - personal things -> email!
