frames/page numbers

I am having trouble with the concept of WYSIWYG as hyper applies it to frames and page numbering. I understand that when I create a number of frames on a page hyper treats each frame as a seperate page. That messes me up in trying to keep a logical track on my site.

Is there a way to create frames on a page and keep the whole page one page number, and why not call each frame 1a, 1b, 1c etc...and what logic is there to naming the lower right frame "home" or the base of that page?

Each frame is treated as a single page as this way you can reuse a frame inside different frame sets. This is the case for example of a "menu" frame.
Simply use CTRL+ CTRL- to move between pages, and assign a meaningful name to each page.
As for the frame naming in a frame set, you can name each frame as you want (use Format >Advanced frameset manager).
The "main" frame, i.e. the "master frame" of the page is the one you see if you release the "frame / noframe" button (bottom center toolbar).
For more info, download the PDF manual from the Web site.

About the PDF "MANUAL" - when I download that file, I don't get any PDF files, it looks like I get the original set of files that comes with a download of iper hyper.  What am I doing wrong?

In http://www.hyperpublish.com/ click on "PDF Manual", you'll get a ZIP file. Inside the Zip there is the PDF manual (that's 22MB unzipped). If you can't open the Zip file, please search for WinZip on www.simtel.net
