Problem running an Exe File

I have successfully created an auto run CD with some software attached. I have no problem linking to them and having them installed from the CD. Except for one program where the installer program seems to conflict with CDFrontEnd. This causes the installer to hang and bring up numerous error messages. When you close the error messages you end up closing the CD presentation also.

Can you set up a link where you can copy the exe file from the CD onto the windows desktop therefore allowing the program to be installed later from the desktop? Or any other suggestions to get around this problem?

This problem could occour if you inserted the install file with a "Insert >Link to embedded file".

This feature might use the system temporary folder, and this might conflict with some install programs such as Install Shield, that might hang.

To solve this problem, just link this file as "external file" on CD, this means you might place the abcdef.exe file on the CD root, then use "Insert >Link to external file", press Add+, and use the run: command, e.g. type
run:abcdef.exe
so a click on the link will run the exe file.

For more information about running external files, hit F1, then Tutorials, then see the tutorial about running PDF files. Just conceptually replace the abcdefg.pdf file with the abcdefg.exe file.
